Chrome is no doubt (In my opinion) the best browser right now, I was a big fan of firefox but I always preferred something light. Used Opera, Flock etc as well but because of the add-ons firefox had to offer, It didn’t last long. Chrome lacked that part as well but now with Chrome Extensions, my internet life is way better. Presenting a list of 20 of the best extensions Chrome has to offer (right now) and I hope you like these.
Tip: You can manage your google chrome extensions easily by clicking “Customize and Control Google Chrome” button > Extensions.
1. Download YouTube Videos

This is (no doubt) one of the best extensions chrome has to offer for youtube fans.It gives you the ability to download youtube videos (even if they aren’t loaded) with a click of a button. It saves the video in mp4 format to a specified folder.

If you’re a Dota (Defense of the ancients) fan, you might have confronted different VOD’s where (mostly asian) players have a different terrain. Most of the people always wonder how did they do that, here’s how. There’s a app called DTMV aka Dota Theme Manager which let’s you change your default terrain. You can choose from 6 Terrains
- Beach
- Barrens
- Hell
- Highlands
- Snow
- City

I personally love and use Beach and City terrain and these are used in most of the asian games. It’s very easy to install these themes. After downloading DTMV, copy / extract folder in your warcraft directory (C:/Warcraft/DTMV). Run DTMV executable file and you’ll see the screen where you can install the themes by clicking on the one you like (See screenshot above).

In certain cases finding out the origin of the website you are currently viewing can be very helpful. An example of this can be a new online shopping website you come across; before making any purchases it would be wise to check if the site’s claimed origin and true origin are the same. Depending on this and other pieces of information of the shopping website, you can reach a better decision on whether or not to trust the website.
Finding out the true origin of a website can be done somewhat accurately by finding out its WHOIS information. This information reveals details of the registration details of the website we are viewing. Registration details include the registrar holding that domain, and the name servers and IP assigned to it. The WHOIS information is also useful for troubleshooting various issues regarding DNS and Domain propagation.
While a number of websites exist where you can enter the URL of a site and obtain its WHOIS information, you might find a desktop application to be more convenient.
One such desktop application that displays the WHOIS information of a website is WhoisLookup.

WhoisLookup is an application less than 100KB to download. Installation is not required as the downloaded EXE file is itself the application. The image above is how the application looks like. In the URL entry field in the top left we enter the domain name without the “http://www.” portion. Then we click on the LOOKUP/SEARCH button for to obtain the site’s WHOIS information.
A preview of the site is shown in an area to the right; we can also see the HISTORY which shows us the websites we have been entering in the URL bar in the current session.
WhoisLookup is a tiny but useful tool which will be useful for website troubleshooters.
You have completed your tasks for the day and now you are looking for something to prevent you from you getting bored. You could go over all that you did; recheck it to be safe. But you already did that and there are still two hours to kill. What to do?
If you have a computer and an internet connection, then Portal is the answer.
Portal is a Flash based game which can be played on any browser under any operating system; all that is required is for your browser to support Flash application. The game is about 7MB and it will take a little while for your browser to load it. You will see a loading screen meanwhile.
Once the game has loaded you will see a man with a gun. You can move this man around forwards or backwards (keys A, D, <-, or ->) and make him jump (keys W or the up arrow key). The gun can shoot two portals: enter and exit. If your character enters one portal, he exits the next. You use your mouse to aim the gun and the left click to fire it.

In every stage the man has to reach the exit. By strategically placing the portals you can take your character to a location he was unable to reach himself. The stages increase in difficulty and a new strategy is required for level. Therefore the game provides a good mental exercise and tests your logic skills quite considerably.
Try out Portal when you are done with your work; but not in the middle of the workday because this simple Flash game can be quite addictive.

Are you wondering where you disk space has gone? Just the other day your system was running fine but now you are constantly being bothered by Windows to free up space. You have already run various cleaners (including antivirus programs, as well as spyware and malware removers) but they are not having a commendable effect; you are still clueless as to what has occupied your storage.
Obviously you want answers. But you cannot possibly start going through your drives and exploring each folder one by one. To get the answers you need, only one freeware program can be used. It is small and fast and it is called DriveSpacio.
The application has a download size of less than 1MB. So small yet it provides great functionality. Compatible with Windows XP and Vista operating systems, it might also run on Windows 7 (although we have not tested DriveSpacio on 7 yet).
So what exactly does DriveSpacio do and how does it help us determine where our disk space is being utilized? When you open the program, it quickly detects all storage devices connected to your system and collect their general data which tell you how much space is used and free.

A thorough breakdown of the major space occupying folders will be presented:

Travel (air travel, more specifically) is something that can be a huge part of our expenditure. In today’s economy every dollar/pound/rupee counts. A one hour flight from one city to another within your own country or even your own state is unaffordable for a lot of people.
Air fares however do differ from airline to airline. While it is undeniable that all air travel is expensive, a quick survey can show that some airlines are more expensive than the others. But there is not rule of thumb which can determine that airline X is cheaper than airline Y; every flight has its own rate. Airline X might be offering a cheaper flight from Los Angeles to Baltimore but airline Y might be cheaper when it comes to Beijing to Moscow.
While purchasing your tickets you cannot possibly cross-reference the rates of all airlines; that would be infinitely time consuming. What you need is something to find the cheapest flights for you systematically and automatically. What you need is CheapOair.

CheapOair find the cheapest air fares for you after you enter the departure city, the destination city, choose from a one way or roundtrip ticket, specify the age groups of the total number of passengers, select the travelling class, and the time of departure. You can even specify your top three preferred airlines and whether the flight should be direct or not.

So you have purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro (AAP) but do not know how to fully use it. Today we will be going over a simple function of AAP which eludes new users.
The forte of PDF documents is the security and protection they offer. If you want to restrict viewing of your document, you can assign your PDF a password which will be required if anybody wants to view the included contents. But what if you do not want to password protect your file and just want to restrict the printing rights?
There could be many reasons for doing this. Perhaps you are a book author and are sending your book (or an excerpt) to somebody for reading. You want them to be able to read it but not print the material out and show it to other on paper. In such circumstances you need to protect your PDF document.
In this tutorial we will assume that you already have created your own PDF document. Here are the steps you need to take in order to protect it:
- Open your document with AAP.
- From the main menu on top, go into Advance -> Security -> Encrypt with Password.
- Click on ‘Yes’ in the Dialog Box that which follows.
- Now specify the Acrobat versions your document can be opened with, the level of encryption your PDF has, any password that should be given to open the file, and whether or not printing is enabled. You can also specify a password to re-enable printing if you have disabled it. Once you have set all these options, click on ‘OK’.
- You will be asked to retype the password and shown a summary of your policy. Click on ‘Finish’ and your policy would have been created.
- From now on, whenever you want to enable this policy on a particular PDF document, open the document and go into Advance -> Security -> .
In those five simple steps you will be able to secure your PDF documents and make the most of your purchases AAP.
