Skype Launched for PSP

I’ve been using Skype for like almost 2 years now.. It is, no doubt, a great software with good history backup, conferences solution and of course, the Skype calls.
Skype just released their system software update for Sony PSP Slim & Lite and now all those PSP users who wanted to make calls and stuff.. it’s TIME! You will need to upgrade your PSP system software to Version 3.90 and you’re good to go.
With the update, foreshadowed in Sony’s PlayStation blog and now also announced by the Sony folks in Europe, PSP Slim & Lite users can make free voice calls to 276m other registered Skype users, see which friends are online and available to talk.
Also, if you have a bit of Skype credit lying around, you can use your PSP to make cheap SkypeOut calls to landlines and mobiles anywhere on the home planet. Good news, is’nt it :)

Police Raid, Britney Spears Hospitalized
Pop star Britney Spears has been taken to a hospital after police raided her place again! An officer with the North Hollywood Police Department said “a few officers” were dispatched to Spears house about 12:55 a.m. Thursday. It’s still unclear, what happened.
Hours earlier, around 11 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a report of a large group of people gathered outside near the singer’s home, said David Grimes of the Los Angeles Police Department. Two officers found 20 to 25 people near the house, but they appeared to be doing nothing illegal. The officers asked the people to leave, he said.
Previously, this month, She was taken under the influence of alcohol or drugs and for a psychological evaluation. Where is this going? Britney Spears has been in trouble with the court earlier concerning her compliance with court orders in the custody case. Her psychiatrist did mention she has some “treatable” mental issues… (No doubt) Keeping in mind the fact, she shaved her head and spent a month in rehab..

See how popular are your blog posts!

Ever wondered how many people read a particular post? (keeping in mind the traffic) Well, there is a wordpress plugin by AlexKing that does the job. What it does is, keeps track of activity on your blog and calculates a popularity percentage for each post and page.
Since page view counts, etc. are cumulative, newer posts will generally have lower popularity values than older posts. This, of course, evens out over time.
The values for different events (page views, feed views, comments, etc.) are configurable on a per-site basis, so each site may rank their content differently.
The Popularity Contest plugin is available on my WordPress Pluginspage.
So Facebook is worth it!

According to the research, Social networking website FaceBook gained more popularity, jumping 81% versus December 2006 to 34.7 million visitors in December 2007.
Other highlights of 2007’s major trends in U.S. Internet activity include:
- Wikipedia Sites gained 34% to reach nearly 52 million visitors
- Leading classified site Craigslist.org jumped 74% to 24.5 million visitors
- AT&T grew 27% to 30.2 million visitors (think exclusive iPhone carrier)
- Yellow Book Network jumped by 137% to 10.4 million visitors

- Google Search Sites increased over 30% and hit 5.6 billion searches

So, it’s time to move on, R&D Facebook and socialize to get good traffic :)
