[News] - Facebook asked to Remove Scrabble.

Facebook Scrabble

Facebook has been asked to remove Scrabble from their applications! The Addon is extremely famous on facebook right now and more than 500,000 people are playing. Lawyers for toy makers Hasbro and Mattel said that this is against their copyright law for the board based game.

Facebook users did got angry on this and arranged a protest against this as this is one of the top facebook applications. Now Hasbro owns the real game & it’s copyright in US & Canada while Mattel has rights in the rest of the world.

Facebook told the press release that they don’t have anything to say right now as this application was not itself created by facebook but a couple of people living in Kolkata, India.

Didn’t get any surprised when facebook users created a group “Save Scrabulous” with almost 6 to 700 members joining in already!

Lets see, where it goes :)
