I saw this gadget at a store and it seemed strange and funny at the same time! How does this work?
According to some descriptions, Nap Zapper anti drowse alarm & vibrate is a unique wireless device that has been developed to primarily safeguard vehicle drivers from falling asleep behind the wheel. Dozing off at the wheel causes countless injuries and deaths on our national roads. When you drive fatigued, sleep comes on imperceptibly. Before your regain full consciousness, it’s often too late to make driving corrections.
Nap Zapper helps prevent fatigue related vehicle accidents. It fits snugly over the right ear and will stay in place even when glasses are worn.
Nap Zapper works on the principle of electronic balance. The angle of the wearer’s head (i.e. if the head nods to far forward) causes the alarm or vibrate to emit an instant wake-up signal. Head angle can be adjusted.
The device is only about the size of an external hearing aid and weighs about 16grams.
It not only applies to vehicle drivers (drivers of i.e. cars, buses, trucks) but can also be worn by any person having to or wanting to stay awake for any particular reason, such as train drivers, heavy equipment handlers, night-shift personnel and even students.
Usually, drowsiness will sneak up on you unawares which is obviously extremely dangerous when you are driving, not only to the driver but also to the safety of passengers and fellow road users. Nap Zapper will assist you to stay awake when required.
The device is tried, tested and since 2002 successfully marketed in the US, most parts of Europe and Asia, and is a new, necessary and exciting introduction to Southern Africa.
But to be honest, I don’t want to try this when I’m listening to Rock!
