I’ve been using Songbird for quite some time now, on XP and Linux, and it really is a great music player. Add to that the fact that it is also a browser, based on the brilliant Firefox, and has a superb collections of available plug-ins, and it becomes an essential program.
Lastly, it looks fantastic!
Songbird no longer has an officially supported Linux version available. If you want to continue using the updated versions, you’ll have to get them from their Dev site as developmental builds that are not tested.
It was the best audio player for Linux until that happened, IMO.
