12 Tips / Tweaks on How to increase your FireFox’s Speed
FireFox is a award-winning Web browser and is faster, more secure, and totally customizable. With features like Improved Tabbed Browsing, spell checking, Search Suggestions, Session restore, Web Feeds (RSS), Live titles, Integrated Search, Live bookmarks, popup blockers, Accessibility, Streamlined interfaces and much more!
Here are 12 Tips that work great to improve your FireFox’s speed!
1- Type about:config in your FireFox browser, it will bring up Firefox’s preferences.
2- In the Filter bar above preferences search for network.http.pipelining and set it’s value field to “true”. You can do it by double clicking it or doing it manually.
3- Now search for network.http.pipelining.maxrequests in the filter bar and set it to 8.
4- Type network.http.proxy.pipelining in the filter search bar, find it and set it’s value to True.
5- Search for network.dns.disableIPv6 in the filter search bar and set it to True.
6- You would need to add a new preference, As shown in the screenshot, right click on the preferences, select new and choose Boolean from the menu. Type content.interrupt.parsing and click Ok. Set it’s value to True.
7- Add another preference, same procedure but instead of choosing Boolean, you need to choose Integer. Right click, New, Integer. Enter content.max.tokenizing.time and type 2250000 for it’s value.
8- Same, add another Integer preference. Right click, New, Integer, type content.notify.interval and enter 750000 as it’s value.
9- Now add another one. Right click in about:config window, select New and choose Boolean this time. Type content.notify.ontimer and set it’s value to True.
10- Add another Integer preference. Right click, new, Integer, Enter. Type content.notify.backoffcount and set it’s value to 5.
11- You need to add content switch threshold. Right click in about:config window, Choose new, Integer. Type content.switch.threshold and enter 750000 when prompted for it’s value!
12- Lastly, add another Integer in the about:config window. Same procedure, Right click, new, Integer and enter nglayout.initialpaint.delay and set it’s value to 0.

Nice Article here, I didnt know many of these here. It would have been better if you could add what does each change mean so that users will knoe what exactly they are doing, just my suggestion.

having trouble loading pictures after making these changes upon initially visiting sites. hit refresh and they load fine.
