Disable wordpress registrations - Another Wordpress Tip

Alright, couple of hours back, there was some strange activity going on this blog. There were 3 Spam Posts (I’m not sure how many confronted that) but as soon I saw them, I checked out the users and saw a anonymous person registered there who posted all that crap.

It did happen to me in the start but I didn’t pay any heave towards it. Anyway, that’s that.. I disabled wordpress registrations instantly and I would advice you guys (Wordpress bloggers) to do the same because I actually know a lot who haven’t disabled the registrations.

How to disable wordpress registrations:

Disable wordpress new users registrations is very easy.

1- Log in (www.yourblog.com/wp-admin)

2- Goto options

3- Click General

4- Disable new users registration

and that’s it.

You’ll also see a phrase there, “Users must be registered and logged in to comment”.

If you check that box then only logged in registered users will be able to write comments on your site.
