Couple of friends were asking yesterday that how to play youtube videos on their Nokia n70 / Nokia n70 music edition. Nokia N70 support MP3, AAC, WAV (Audio formats) and AVI, RM, 3GP, MP4 (Video formats). So to download and play youtube videos on Nokia n70, you should follow these steps.
1- Since, youtube videos are in .FLV format, you need to download youtube videos and save them in as new specifc folder.
2- Then you would need a converter that converts FLV files to 3GP etc. You can find different converters that does the job. Most of them are shareware / trial versions that work well and if you like them, there’s no harm in buying one if you want to use it on permanent base.

There should be some mobile software that can browse youtube as well as save and play flv. I didn’t get one yet. There must be some talents who able to develope such software.

Actually, you can download videos from youtube directly in MP4 formant, not FLV. This can be done by downloading a video which is streamed from …&fmt=18 ulr (so called high quality videos). You’ll get an .mp4 file. But still, after transfering the file to n70, the phone recognizes it, but plays only audio (with black picture). I guess it’s the problem of crappy realplayer which is bundled with n70
