AT&T Pogo 3D Browser | A Small review

AT&T newest browser called “Pogo“, a new 3D web browser, allows users to visually manage their online experience went into beta and is on invite only. I entered my email address in the Pogo beta invitation and was invited the day after. So to test out the Pogo browser, I went to the site, enter my invite code and was shown a flash based video on how it works and everything. Looked cool so I downloaded the 54.5 MB browser.

The requirements are quiet high, compared to other browsers.

After installation, I ran it where it asked me to enter the details that I was given (Username / Password).

Then a screen appeared to personalize the Pogo browser.

First step was importing bookmarks from different installed browsers (IE7, Firefox, Opera and even del.icio.us)

Then it gave me the option of selecting content based on my interests which included collections of bookmarks etc.

Overall, the interface was really nice but it’s a memory hog.

Look was really cool.

The Tab feature was nice, instead of tabs above the url bar, it had small windows beaneath which didn’t showed a small picture of the website but I think they’ll add it up in the final version of Pogo.

Rest looked cool too but it’s still early to say anything about it.

    Hi Sid,

Infact, a beta user can’t invite. You have to visit http://www.pogobrowser.com/ and enter your email address to get a invite.

I’ll send you the yahoo mash invite in a while, though :)

You know, there is a browser called SpaceTime that is very similar to what I have seen of AT&T’s Pogo browser, if you can’t wait to get an invite you might try this browser.
