Facebook finally gets rid of Scrabble

I remember reading / posting about the dispute between facebook and Scrabble which was in mid January. And today, while reading news, I confronted that facebook cuts off Scrabulous after legal complaint from Scrabble’s rights owners, Mattel Inc.

Right now, it’s been pulled off for users in Canada and United States for sure but it still remains active in India where the scrabble developers are, Rajat and Jayant Agarwalla, the brothers in Calcutta. This shouldn’t be surprising if you know that Both Hasbro and Mattel have been trying to promote an authorized version of Scrabble for Facebook — made by Electronic Arts Inc. in the United States and Canada and by RealNetworks Inc. elsewhere.
