I’m a big fan of Flash based Tower Defense games. This addiction started from Starcraft / Broodwars and then Warcraft, The frozen throne. May it be Dota or downloadable warcraft Tower defence maps, I always loved to play those. Now, flash based TD games have been my favorite time pass. Whenever I’m not doing anything, I start playing TD, no installation necessary.
Keep in mind, there are also downloadable tower defence games but I’m not covering that for now. I’m only focusing on Flash based games which you can play in your browser. I’ve managed to cover 10 of the “best” Flash based Tower Defence games that I’ve confronted over the time. I hope you like these.
Whiteboard TowerDefence is another one of my favorite TD games. It’s created by kongregate who made Desktop Tower Defence. It’s a bit tough than their previous version but worth playing. Highly recommended. You would be needing the red towers, 3 fully upgraded, freeze towers (the 4 dots) and then so on, just improvise =) – to win the game.
Vector TD is a great game! you have to go through 50 levels and are provided with good number of different towers with nice upgrades. In towers case, red rockets worked great for me, with over 200,000 damage but a bit slow, it annihilated everything.
Onslaught is one of the famous flash based tower defence games out there. It’s really good and you need to choose and place your towers smartly. In start, you won’t confront any difficulty (likely) but as the game goes on, you have to make sure that you have upgraded your main towers fully and after that, have placed more to get the game going. I would recommend going to rocket towers and upgrading their attack + rate asap and then work on the range because after wave 100, you won’t be able to survive.
Also, you get new towers in form of range, tower and rate which you can place on the map and near your towers to get the certain thing up.
Flash Element TD is a nice game. There are basic towers, elemental towers and combo towers. To make elemental towers, you need to have wood which you get after killing the boss, first one comes at level 9. It’s a fun game and you need to have Fire towers (Upgraded to max) to reach a good level because of their high splash damage.. (I went till lvl 36 on my first go). The one thing I didn’t like about this game is the screen size , it was too small for me.
Flash Circle TD is a never ending game. The creep waves come in masses and they just roam around the maze unless they are dead, no one escapes even if you haven’t killed them in the first go, they’ll just circle around and come back for their grave. There are 4 type of towers and unlike any other TD, you should be putting the mass towers instead of getting 5, 10 up and focus on the upgrades. This game doesn’t work that way. It can be a great time waster if you want to sit there and kill all those folks during your free time.
Desktop TD was the first ever flash based tower defence game that I played and it has been my favorite since. You get to choose from 5 towers. Creeps comes in normal, group, flying form etc and your best bet here is to get at least 2 Dark towers, fully upgraded. They will do the job because of their massive splash damage. This is a definite recommendation if you’re looking for a good flash based Tower defence game.
AntBuster is a funny game, that’s the only thing I can say about it. There are not tower options, it’s just a small picnic ground with a cake on the other side and a ant hole on the other. You have to place canons in middle or wherever to kill those pesky ants from taking the cake’s pieces. And that’s about it.
I hope you play some of these and let me know if you like any particular one =)
