How to Chat with your Facebook Friends in Pidgin
Stumble it!Just confronted a great plugin for Pidgin which lets gives you the ability to chat with your Facebook Contacts/Friends (similar to Facebook Chat Option). This plugin logs through your facebook account to their chat servers, grabs the buddy list, send/receive messages, add/remove friends, receive notifications, search for Facebook friends and set your Facebook status easily.
To install this plugin, Follow these easy steps.
1- Download and install the Plugin from here.
2- After installation, Restart Pidgin.
3- Click on Tools and then Plugins. It will detect all the new installed plugins.
4- Click on Accounts, click Manage Accounts
5- Click Add and you’ll see facebook option there.
6- Select Facebook, Enter your email address and password which you use to connect. A small window will pop-up which will show you a certificate, click OK.
7- Click on Accounts, Manage Accounts and check your Facebook Profile and you’re ready to chat with your facebook friends.
It’s really a nifty application which also shows you new notifications / emails you’ve received and much more.
