Enable Hibernate Option In Windows 7

If you are looking to hibernate windows 7 but cannot find the option, here’s a small tutorial that will enable the hibernate option.

1- Open Command Prompt by typing CMD in start menu, make sure you have administrator rights (Ctrl + Shift + Enter can do the job if you are logged in as administrator) .

2- Type powercfg /hibernate on , press enter and exit.

This will most probably enable the hibernation option in windows 7 but in case it doesn’t, try this.

1- Goto power options by typing in Power Options in Start menu.

2- Open Change when the computer sleeps followed with Change advanced power settings.

3- Turn off Hybrid Sleep under sleep option, click Apply > OK and you’re done.

This did not work for me. Hibernate does not appear in the start menu. Is it possible that my computer does not support hibernation or something like that?
