For most of us, watching videos online on websites like Youtube and Vimeo is a great source of entertainment.

And it often happens that long after watching the video and closing our browsers we need to watch the video again, or show it to someone, or just send the URL to a friend, but we can’t find the video anymore. Searching for it takes valuable time and often yields unsuccessful results.

PopScreen helps us out of the situation we clumsily put ourselves in. A free service which offers us to save/bookmark great videos we come across online.

Since PopScreen is currently in its private beta stage, you can only join by getting an invitation code which is either sent to you by an existing memeber or by the website after you request one by signing up. If you don’t know anybody using PopScreen, request an invite and it’ll be sent straight to your inbox.

Along with bookmarking your videos, PopScreen shows you the other popular videos being Pop’d (that’s PopScreen lingo for ‘bookmarked’); that’s a great feature which makes it harder to miss out on great videos.

Moreover, if you bookmark videos that are shows with episodes, you can keep tabs on your bookmark and be notified when the new episode is out. Friends on PopScreen can easily be notified of the videos you Pop. The simple interface of PopScreen makes it immensely user-friendly and easy to master.

Along with YouTube and Vimeo, at the moment PopScreen supports Metacafe, Hulu, Blip.tv, Viddler, Howcast, and Justin.tv. Remember, that are only few of the websites PopScreen supports; the actual list is well over a hundred.

In a fast and convenient way, PopScreen makes it easier for the user to stash away the location of his/her favorite videos from a range of popular websites, so that they can be easily dug up whenever needed.
