The native Windows’ Device Manager is a boring list of drivers which don’t tell the user much. Usually for special information on drivers and what installed device they belong to, a computer user needs to do some considerably digging around.

A wonderful alternative to Windows’ own Device Manager is DevManView. From the creators of NirLauncher and other highly useful utilities, comes DevManView, a simple yet immensely purposeful drivers’ viewer.

To download, DevManView’s setup archive file is only ~50 KB large and doesn’t even require an installation. All you need to do is run the executable file that is extracted from the archive.

DevManView displays a list of all currently installed devices on your system. You can enable the option to display the non-plug’n’play devices along with all the others (by default, such devices aren’t shown).

DevManView allows you to install and uninstall drivers of the devices you select. You can also choose devices and then save their information in TXT/HTML/XML/CSV files and export to any program you desire.

With slight tweaking, you can even connect DevManView to a remote computer and see the list of devices on that computer.

DevManView runs with almost all versions of Windows, starting from Windows 2000 right up to Windows 7 and even including Windows Server 2008. A separate setup file of DevManView even supports x64 systems! With its flawless minuscule memory footprint, vast operating system support, and flawless functionality, DevManView is the perfective alternative to the Windows Device Manager.
