TrakkBoard: Desktop Based Analytics Solution

In one of my previous posts, I collected and wrote down 13 Best Tools For Traffic Analyzing and Monitoring your website. I believe it was a well written post with lots of awesome websites to help you out. Today, we’re reviewing Trakkboard. Google Analytics is one of the best tools to monitor and analyze your website traffic. With its help, you can write better, know your audience and improve your online marketing techniques.

Though, Trakkboard is desktop based. And with this free desktop application, you can compare simultaneously monitor the traffic of multiple websites… and you don’t even have to log in to Analytics! To download and install Trakkboard you first need to register your email address with them; you will then be sent a license key with which you can download and install the application.

On the first run of the program, you enter the details of your Google account(s). The tool uses the data from Google Analytics API and enables you to access the data from all your Analytics accounts on a single dashboard, making things much more accessible.

Trakkboard is also equipped with special widgets which let your customize your dashboard by selecting which data fields you want to appear (visitors/page views/source/bounce rate etc.). If you want more than one dashboard to be displayed (with each one displaying a different data field) you can do so via the tabs in the program. Therefore you can easily create whatever data panel that suits you best.

Furthermore you can specify the time intervals on which the data is retrieved from Analytics. For instance you can have the traffic data updated every thirty minutes for all your websites. Since the program also allows you to freeze certain data, you can compare the new and old figures right there in the program.
