Creating Gaming Tournament Brackets
If you are in the middle of creating and managing a sports tournament, by now you probably know that there is a lot more involved than simple “A versus Bâ€; there are charts involved, the tournament type, etc. You also have to consider the nature of the sport; after all, not all sports have a simple knock-out system.
Organizing your tournament while keeping all those factors in check can be done easily by Konkuri. The word Konkuri is taken from Esperanto and means “to compete.†The developers started out the site out of their personal need: once in the past the tried to create a tournament amongst friends but failed to find a simple program that would do that. Therefore they created what is now known as Konkuri – a website that lets users register for an account and create a sports tournament for free.
After you have registered for an account (and activated it via the link you are emailed) you select which city you belong to (the city will be shown with each tournament you create). Containing the basics of what any tournament required, the tournament-creating panel is both simple, and comprehensive:
Once you fill out the fields and click on ‘Create Your Tournament’ you are taken to the Dashboard:
To the right you can see the rounds that are going to take place next. The team or player names can be edited in the Teams tab:
You can then publish your results in the Fixtures and Results tab (After the matches):
From the way things look, Konkuri’s is getting increasingly closer to its final goal of being able to manage any kind of tournament, any kind of sport or game, everywhere.
