In certain cases finding out the origin of the website you are currently viewing can be very helpful. An example of this can be a new online shopping website you come across; before making any purchases it would be wise to check if the site’s claimed origin and true origin are the same. Depending on this and other pieces of information of the shopping website, you can reach a better decision on whether or not to trust the website.
Finding out the true origin of a website can be done somewhat accurately by finding out its WHOIS information. This information reveals details of the registration details of the website we are viewing. Registration details include the registrar holding that domain, and the name servers and IP assigned to it. The WHOIS information is also useful for troubleshooting various issues regarding DNS and Domain propagation.
While a number of websites exist where you can enter the URL of a site and obtain its WHOIS information, you might find a desktop application to be more convenient.
One such desktop application that displays the WHOIS information of a website is WhoisLookup.

WhoisLookup is an application less than 100KB to download. Installation is not required as the downloaded EXE file is itself the application. The image above is how the application looks like. In the URL entry field in the top left we enter the domain name without the “http://www.†portion. Then we click on the LOOKUP/SEARCH button for to obtain the site’s WHOIS information.
A preview of the site is shown in an area to the right; we can also see the HISTORY which shows us the websites we have been entering in the URL bar in the current session.
WhoisLookup is a tiny but useful tool which will be useful for website troubleshooters.
So beautiful posts, all I like, hope to be better then, and enjoy yourself, good luck in your life.
