This is like the 3rd time it’s happening with Skype . First time, it was crashing and you had to delete shared.xml file to make it work and today, again, lots and lots of people (including myself) can’t log in skype. Forums are being filled with complaints and according to the admins they are looking into it.
However, they’ve announced that the problem has been identified.
A configuration problem has meant that some of you have been disconnected from Skype.
We’ve identified the cause of the problem, and have begun to address it. If you’ve been affected, you should start to see improvement in the next hour or so. You shouldn’t need to manually sign back in to Skype – it should reconnect automatically when it’s able to do so.
We apologise for the disruption to your conversations.
Let’s hope they fix it as soon as possible.

You’ve just helped with misinforming by implying that Microsoft has something to do with the current Skype outage. The acquisition is not closed yet.
