Posted by MoiN 25 April, 2008 (1) Comment

Since, I love to try out new wordpress themes often, I used to face a common problem that the people coming on the website will see the changes which will be either incomplete, lost posts and maybe a total mayhem!

Anyway, while browsing I confronted a GREAT wordpress plugin called “Theme Tester” that lets you test your new wordpress themes while the visitors browse on your current theme! It’s a very small 2.22 KB (2,283 bytes) plugin.

Wordpress Plugin

 How to Install Theme Tester

- Download the plugin
- Unzip it and copy it in your content/plugin’s folder
- Goto your WP-Admin and activate it from Plugins
- After that, goto Presentation and click Theme tester tab
- Activate it

When activated, you can test your new themes without the visitors getting bugged. After you’re done, click on theme test tab again and de-activate it.

Wordpress

I recently discovered a Wordpress Plugin that allows you to create a customizable image which shows the last posts of your blog, thus enabling you to use it as a signature in communities. forums etc.

After activating this wordpress plugin, go to the menu “Manage” of your WordPress admin panel and than to “LastPostsImage”. There you will get your public link, and can configure the color, size and number of posts to display.

How To Install:

1. Upload the folder ‘last-posts-image’ with all files to ‘/wp-content/plugins’ on your webserver

2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins‘ menu in WordPress

3. Go to ‘LastPostsImage’ in the ‘Manage’-menu of your wordpress adminpanel (see last-posts-image_configuration.jpg)
